Experience authentic Gullah culture through the eyes of a true native.

1 young chicken, plucked, cleaned and cut into parts
sprinkle salt and black pepper
sprinkle paprika
2- 1/2 cups oil
1-1/2 cup flour
Season the clean chicken with salt, black pepper and paprika. Heat the oil in a deep skillet. Flour the chicken pieces by placing in a brown bag or bowl. Coat well and shake of excess flour. Test the oil temperture by droping a dab of flour in oil. Add floured chicken pieces to oil and let cook until brown on than turn. Cook thoroughly, turning occassionally, until golden brown on all sides.
